  • Lecturer in General Chemistry at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga

    The Department of Chemistry & Physics at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga invites applications for a non-tenure-track Lecturer position in General Chemistry beginning August 1, 2024.

    The successful candidate will hold an M.S. in Chemistry or related field by the start date. Teaching experience is advantageous. Teaching responsibilities will include general chemistry lecture and lab, general science, and other areas, depending upon the successful candidate’s specialization (Analytical Chemistry preferred). Candidates should also be willing to engage in a variety of instructional modalities, including online instruction, and in assisting the UTC campus in its ability to reach additional goals as specified in UTC’s Strategic Plan. The Department of Chemistry and Physics at UTC comprises 17 (12 Chemistry and 5 Physics) tenure-line faculty members and is approved by the American Chemical Society. The department has approximately 150 chemistry and biochemistry majors, most in the biochemistry track, and is noted for excellence in undergraduate education and research, including a ten-week summer research program (see https://www.utc.edu/chemistry-physics/).

  • Instructor/Assistant Professor at Siteman Cancer Center (Multiple Vacancies)

    The Siteman Cancer Center (SCC) at Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital invites applications from scientists and physicians for multiple faculty positions focused on cancer research. While our focus is primarily at the Instructor or Assistant Professor levels, other ranks will be considered. We seek outstanding investigators who bring innovation to the study of cancer and its prevention and treatment. We are interested in faculty who have a strong interest in diversity, equity and inclusion through their teachings, research, service, or a combination of the three. Applicants should demonstrate high potential to establish independent research careers. Cancer research interests may include any level of scientific translation, from basic / bench science to public health and community engagement.

    Basic Qualifications

    Applicants are expected to:

    1) Have a terminal degree (e.g., PhD or MD) in a relevant field.

    2) Be post-doctoral scholars or early-career faculty.

    3) Have a strong record demonstrating ability or potential for conducting high-level research.

  • IUPUI Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology

    The IUPUI School of Science Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology invites applications for two full-time non-tenure track faculty positions as Lecturer beginning in August 2024. Our department offers a wide variety of courses for chemistry and other STEM majors, and pre-health professional and general education students.     Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field or an M.S. in Chemistry and share our values in inclusive and innovative teaching including active learning strategies. This is an open area search and candidates interested in teaching general chemistry, biochemistry, physical, or inorganic chemistry courses are especially encouraged to apply. Experience in online or active learning pedagogy, such as PLTL, would be beneficial. Non-tenure track teaching faculty have service and scholarly work expectations in addition to their primary teaching load and are eligible for promotion through Senior Lecturer to Teaching Professor.
